Get out into the great outdoors and enjoy a run or walk through the jarrah forest surrounding the historic town of Greenbushes in Western Australia’s South West by participating in the Greenbushes Pink Fun Run and Festival on Sunday May 17.
The event is being held to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Network of Australia (BCNA) which provides much needed support to sufferers of breast cancer and their families throughout Australia, particularly in regional areas. There will be a 10km run and a 5km run/walk with prizes for adults, children’s and veteran’s categories. The track traverses jarrah forest on mainly gravel tracks and is accessible for wheelchairs or people with disabilities. BCNA Volunteers will also set up a mini field of women (pink plaques in the ground) for people to remember loved ones lost to breast cancer.
The venue for the event is the Greenbushes Sporting Complex located adjacent to the South Western Highway at Greenbushes.
